Quattro supports the NHS

#GetVaccinated #WearAMask #WFHIsHereToStay #AllZoomedOut

What’s in a hashtag? A pandemic by any other name would still be a living nightmare. We have no idea what Shakespeare would have made of our modern-day word play but we like it. Actually we like this one best – #PandemicUpside – really? Is that a thing? Well, it is and there are quite a few if you think about it. Exercising in nature rather than sweaty gyms, spending time at home with family and the absence of the daily commute. We’re all desperately seeking positives to make us feel that the last few months have been more than just an unmitigated disaster. The benefits of the pandemic and ensuing lockdown are few and far between but they do exist. And one of those is the abounding kindness that we’ve seen in the incredible way communities and individuals have pulled together to help the most vulnerable amongst them navigate these frightening times.

So many people and businesses have displayed a selfless and altruistic side in the face of this challenge and at Quattro Foods we pulled our weight by offering our surplus food to local homeless people. We have also been working to improve our service to the hard-hit NHS. Feeding those on the frontline felt like a good place to start in the battle with Covid-19.

As an approved supplier, we have supported NHS Wales for many years by offering nutritious food products to aid recovery across hospitals in Wales. Our talented chefs have developed fresh and delicious soups, with a high calorie count and high protein content to hospitals to support healing without compromising on taste.

To ensure an abundance of health benefits, we consulted dieticians in the creation of food for hospitals. Our soups are full of flavour and calories – energy-packed to fuel recovery and of course our kitchen team follows rigorous hygiene and safety criteria – processes which were already strictly maintained but have been enhanced since Covid hit.

Soup is often the only meal that patients can tolerate during illness or recovery. Convenient and healthy, the soups we supply to the NHS are made with specific nutritional requirements to help patients regain their strength. Our cost-effective NHS meal solutions allow hospitals to feed their patients well, meeting the challenges of small kitchens and limited catering staff. Our customers in NHS Wales cannot operate commercial kitchens on-site and are limited in space, staff and resources. Our soups can be reheated quickly in ward kitchens and most importantly they are bursting with goodness, nutrients and flavour.

Businesses across all sectors have been compelled to rethink their processes in the last year. We are no exception and our motivation to serve the NHS has grown. As one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers, we are committed to continuing our critical work with the NHS, as many hospitals are working at capacity and nutrition is more important than ever. #CovidBeGone #TheFightContinues #TogetherWithTheNHS
