Changes at Quattro!

Here’s a summer treat for our readers – we’re excited to introduce you to two of our newest recruits who are helping to make Quattro Foods tick.

Like a family

Harrison Huntley told us a bit about life at Quattro Foods…

What’s your position at Quattro Foods?

Production Operative in the red area, which is the high care area where food is cooked and packed.

How long have you worked here?

I ‘officially’ started on the 1st September 2021 but actually came in as agency to start with in May 2021. I was the first new member of the team after Covid!

What do you enjoy most about life at Quattro?

It’s excellent here. I enjoy everything in Quattro, especially the people. It’s like a family. The hours are good too. I love the job!

What three words would you use to describe the Quattro values?

Pride, teamwork, quality. Quattro takes pride in everything it does. No customer is more important than another. We’re becoming a bigger and better company and getting busy with lots of new customers and so many new products.

Have you got any nice summer plans?

I have! Enjoying the sunshine, car-boot sales in Southsea, charity shopping for vintage collectables and 50s vintage fashion, watching bands and listening to rock ‘n’ roll music, as well as playing my guitar.

Are there any changes in the food industry that you think could change the way you work in the future?

Quattro always seems to be growing and getting busier, with new staff and lots of changes to our building. We’re investing in more cooking and packing equipment, so there are lots of opportunities to train, learn new skills and have a greater role within the team. It’s been such a tough few years, but everything looks so positive for Quattro and I think what we do here is exactly what the food industry needs. We still make everything by hand, it’s high quality and delicious and people will always have a need for food like that.

Great bunch of people

Our Head of Finance and HR Laura Thornett also gave us an insight into life at Quattro.

What’s your position at Quattro Foods?

I’m Head of Finance and HR.

How long have you worked here?

I’ve worked here for eight months.

What do you enjoy most about life at Quattro?

It has to be the people I am working alongside. The team at Quattro are like no other, they are a great bunch of people that work hard to get the job done in what can sometimes be very challenging circumstances and it is all done with a smile on their face!

What three words would you use to describe the Quattro values?

Quality, excellence and teamwork.

Have you got any nice summer plans?

It’s a quiet summer for me. I’m planning a short trip up north to visit family but other than that, it will be time spent at home with my 13-year-old son (although he’d rather I didn’t!) and my partner.

Are there any changes in the food industry that you think could change the way you work in the future?

I wouldn’t say any changes would change the way I work but they will make me more focused on certain aspects of the role. The food industry has already started to become a very challenging industry due to the cost-of-living crisis. With price rises coming from all angles, an important part of my role will be to really hone in on the areas where we can make savings and keep our prices as low as possible so that our customers can still enjoy our goods at a reasonable price.
