The rise and rise of Street Food and how Quattro got in on the act!

Summer is here and street-food is back. Not that it ever left, actually. Food fairs have become common affairs across the UK, especially in the bigger cities, in any weather. But summer brings with it the promise of al fresco dining and that wonderful British seasonal activity – a festival. Love books? You’re covered. Theatre? Plenty. And music – there are so many. But at Quattro HQ we get most excited about – wait for it – food festivals (you don’t say!)

The funny thing is that all summer festivals, whatever they set out to be, eventually turn into food festivals to a certain extent. Well, if you see them from our perspective they do. As we hit peak festival season the office banter turns to the weather, the music, the company and of course the food that will be consumed at these 3-day outdoor parties that we love so much.
Everyone has to eat don’t they? Music lovers, bookworms and theatre buffs may think they’re going to a festival for a touch of culture, but what they don’t realise is that the highlight of the weekend, for many of them, will ultimately, definitely be the food.

Team Quattro is loving the festival season and we’re hearing from our customers that they want more food products inspired by simple, yet delicious, street-style foods, both for public festivals and for private al fresco eating – in the garden, on the beach, at end of term school fetes and for those glorious – and all too rare – summer picnics in the park.

In an outdoor environment it’s essential to have the capacity to make quick and tasty food. Our talented kitchen staff have pushed out the boat this season in the creation and production of nutritious and delicious foods to satisfy our customers in the wholesale and retail food industry.

We make it easier for you to serve your own customers in the most hassle free, timesaving way. And we must be doing something right, because you keep telling us that your customers are loving the fresh summer tang and taste of our al fresco inspired products.

The best way to cook for al fresco dining is to use a selection of our RTU (ready to use sauces) range, which form part of our popular ambient collection. The sauces come with an extended shelf life of one to two years and can be used to create menus and meals of mind-boggling variety and mouth-watering flavour.

We, as chefs, know how you, as chefs, work. We design our hand-produced ambient products with you in mind, reducing preparation time and increasing shelf life. Busy chefs in large commercial kitchens across the country thank us for arming them with the top quality products they need to create the best sauces, pasta dishes, meat dishes and salads, for their own customers.
