At Quattro Foods, we’ve been serving the food industry with fresh, ambient and chilled food for over a decade. We get mountains of enquiries about our ambient range, which we’re delighted to offer, but we’d also love to give a shout out to our delicious chilled sauces, a long-time favourite of our foodservice customers.
We create, produce and distribute food products of the highest quality to the NHS, schools, colleges, universities, high street retailers and restaurant chains. We specialise in making life easier for you, our fellow professional chefs, saving you time and manpower in your busy kitchens and serving your customer or service user the highest quality, tastiest food, whether it’s ambient or chilled.
So, what’s the difference between ambient and chilled sauces? They’re both as flavoursome as their fresh counterparts, with no compromise on quality. So, what makes them last longer? At Quattro HQ on England’s south coast, ambient goods are only produced once a week, using pH control for long-lasting flavours and textures. Do we have permission to bust a myth? Many people think that anything can be made ambient, using traditional cooking methods, but it’s not true. Without fairy dust (we’re a bit low on that atm), it’s not possible.
Why do we love chilled foods?
Lunchtime on the high street means queues at the fridge in your favourite takeaway places. Quite understandably people want to break up their day with a filling helping of fresh food, and the refrigerated section is where you’ll find soup, sandwiches, sushi platters, noodles or even a curry.
Chilled choices are the most popular items in cafes and shops, as well as restaurants, hospitals, colleges, universities and schools, looking for healthier and more filling options than dried food. They make customers and catering staff happy, with their great taste and their ability to relieve pressure in professional kitchens. Chilled products are an efficient and useful addition to working kitchens and are relied on by chefs and their teams, who keep their fridges stocked with excellent chilled products to complement their menus.
Quattro’s chilled range includes porridge, soups, mash, pasta sauces, chillies, curries, stews, bechamel sauces, mac n’ cheese and a range of other internationally inspired sauces.
Chilled sauces aside, we appreciate there is always a need for ambient products too. This month we’re celebrating our commendation by Trust Heritage Logistics who listed Quattro Foods as one of the top UK sauce manufacturers. They like the fact that our sauces are made from natural ingredients that are tasty and bursting with nutrition.
“They produce ready-to-use sauces that serve as an alternative to fresh sauces. The sauces are designed to have a long shelf life while keeping quality in mind. Their sauces are great choices for small and established kitchens that need to save time without compromising on quality. Their sauces range from rice and pasta sauces to curry sauces and pastes and sweet and sour sauces. It’s good to know that they supply their products both in retail and wholesale.”
It’s good to be appreciated, many thanks for the accolade THL!
