As lockdown begins to ease and life starts looking a little like it used to, at Quattro Foods we are turning our focus to a happy and very British event. What better to cheer the public than a royal celebration? The Queen’s second (and official) birthday takes place on the second Saturday of June, and Team Quattro marks the day by bringing you our favourite British dishes.
It looks as though we’re all ‘staying home’ this summer, so join us in embracing the best of British culture, weather and food. To ensure that you enjoy delicious picnics, bbqs and all manner of al fresco dining this summer, we are working hard in our Portsmouth kitchen to create premium food products for restaurants and pub chains, in the hope that their outdoor areas may be open to the public in the coming weeks. We are also continuing to provide food for the NHS, the army and the UN as well as food service providers.
Skilled at producing delectable international fare, this June we bring you classic homely British dishes using seasonal and top-quality ingredients – a mark of British dining. Our tastes have evolved over the decades yet the classic pie, mash and gravy remains a firm favourite. With savoury fillings, bursting with the taste of home, British pies are a staple of pubs and restaurants across the country.
One of our customers’ favourite products is the traditional beef and ale pie filling as well as the ever-popular chicken and leek variety. As one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers, we aim to please. Pie is piping hot and ready to eat! What comes next?
What does every pie need? A gorgeous gravy of course! Quattro Foods’ gravies are made with our traditional home-style cooking process, for ultimate freshness and exceptional taste. We create classic beef and chicken gravy as well as a selection of gourmet gravies including lamb and mint and beef and red onion.
And now for the mash and veg. How do you make a bland root taste heavenly? Ask our chefs. Concocted by the talented Quattro kitchen team, our creamy cauliflower and parsnip mash makes the perfect side dish, along with our lovely lentil and carrot stew.
And what’s lunch without pudding? And we mean pudding in the most British sense. Pair your pie with a scrumptious apple pie and a plateful of sublime summer fruit. Or go even sweeter by adding chocolate, salted-caramel or fruit sauces to your pudding. Yes, you can!
And a truly British breakfast? Porridge, of course. Enjoy Quattro’s dairy free and gluten free version. They taste just as good but don’t take our word for it – have a spoonful and tell us what you think.
Help us mark the Queen’s second birthday with a taste of Britain and make staying at home this summer a delicious foodie experience by choosing Quattro Foods’ most British products and enjoy a meal fit for royalty.
