Happy Veganuary! It’s that time of year again. A time of resolutions, a time to bring out the ‘new you’ (again). Some of us are braving Dry January and others are going down the plant-based route. Don’t blush if you’re in neither camp – there’s always next year! And there must be a handful of you out there doing both. How’s it going? Be honest, but no smug responses please! So, are you a newly fledged member of the ‘no meat, no milk’ club? Is your resolution a vegan revolution?
The team at Quattro Foods has spent over a decade catering for the changing needs of our customers and the growing popularity of this trend/fad/movement (which is it? You decide). Always in tune with evolving lifestyle choices, in particular dietary preferences, we appreciate the benefits of vegan food, for our bodies and our planet, and we are hugely supportive of the new year initiative adopted by millions across the UK.
Our customers in the food-service sector, in hospitality, retail, the NHS, schools and the army, are requesting more and more vegan fare for their patients, students and customers, and as always, we are happy to oblige.
So, what have our chefs done to accommodate the Veganuary enthusiasts? They’ve moved mountains, as usual, to invent, source and create the most delicious and nutritious range of food products without a hint of an ingredient derived from anything that was once alive.
Our creative kitchen geniuses have concocted many innovative, unique and delicious plant-based sauces, curries and soups over the years, and they’re well-versed in this progressive food choice, most popular at this time of year. Coming back after the Christmas break has become synonymous with vegan product development, yet this year has seen a new pattern developing alongside the plant-based food trend. Veganism is not the only habit on the rise. WFH looks like it’s here to stay, due to changing business processes and preferences as a result of Covid rules, so our high street hospitality venues took the decision to open later this month than usual. Veganuary, therefore, got off to a slower start than we hoped, but it didn’t stop our busy chefs creating new and magical plant-based delights in anticipation, and these are now going down a storm!
