Never has there been more emphasis on wellbeing – physical, mental and emotional – than in this mindful 21st century of ours. Not only are people across the globe becoming increasingly aware of their fitness and health, but we are continually being sold the idea that we will be living much longer than previous generations, and our children longer still. It’s an exciting prospect. What world changes will we see? How many long years of our grandchildren will we be able to enjoy? How much longer will we work and how much more travel will we experience? But much of this science only applies to those of us who look after ourselves. Live off high sugar, high salt, fast food and you may be consigned to the life expectancy of those from a less enlightened era. We can’t turn on our TV or open a newspaper without being told how important exercise and diet are. We know that we are what we eat. So there’s no excuse!
At Quattro Foods we keep our eye on changing trends in health and food and we are committed to looking after our customers. We like to give you exactly what you want, with a sprinkle of everything you need. We know that obesity has severe long-term health implications and costs the NHS millions every year. We also know that our customers are increasingly aware of their own sugar, salt and fat intake and strive to serve their own customers food that is healthy and tasty.
This is where our talented and creative development chefs come into their own. Tony and Tony (we like to make things easy around here) are devoting more and more time to designing and creating our customers’ favourite food products – the healthy way.
It’s not possible to simply remove the sugar from a pasta sauce, soup, salad dressing or dessert without losing some flavour. A clever chef will find a natural alternative to ensure that the customer does not experience a whisper of compromise on taste. It’s a challenge, but neither Tony has ever been known to give up at a hurdle.
Ever wondered how our chefs create the most delicious Quattro food products – the low-calorie, low fat and low sugar way? They plan, source and create a delicious and healthy range of foods by thinking outside the box.
A perfect example is Quattro’s flavoursome and colourful range of soups which falls into the low calorie, low fat and low sugar category.
Our chefs use the natural sweetness of vegetables including carrots, onions, sweet potato, peppers, corn and squash along with a little spice and seasoning to balance out the flavours. They also remove cooking oil wherever possible – another health benefit for the end customer.
These are some of our customers’ favourite healthy soups:
- Tex-mex chicken
- Butternut, carrot and coriander
- Chicken mulligatawny
- Chicken ginger kale broth
- Minestrone
- Corn and pepper chowder
- Super green vegetable
- Lentil with parsley and coriander
- Turkish spiced red pepper and tomato
And that’s how Team Quattro fills your tummy and keeps you healthy!
