As one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers and suppliers, we work tirelessly to feed the nation but we can’t do it alone. Our collaborations with growers, suppliers and distributers, and our partnerships with customers, are the bedrock of our success. We work with organisations at every level, from high street chains to individual restaurants, and from food service businesses to the NHS, the army and schools and colleges across the country.
Many of you have asked us if we work with start-ups. The answer is yes, we do, but we supply food in bulk, so before we embark on a relationship with a start-up, we find out exactly what you need and explore our minimum volumes per recipe, to check they work for you.
Food start-up? Here’s how we can help you
If you have customers to feed and your kitchen team simply doesn’t have the capacity to get everything done, why not consider buying sauces or fillings from us? We can save you valuable time and manpower by sourcing the ingredients, prepping the veg, chopping, simmering, cooking and seasoning the products to make your life easier. We offer variable size portions and different packaging types and create bespoke recipes for your business.
Looking to make waves in the food sector? We can help get your brand to market by developing bespoke recipes for your brands. Although we can’t manage your distribution or marketing, we partner with many companies with a range of skills that could help with these elements of your business. We’ve spent many years nurturing close relationships with other businesses, and we’re very happy to share our contacts.
How does it work?
Let’s explain our production schedule and processes. We produce to order, bringing in fresh ingredients on a just-in-time basis. Once orders are placed, we start sourcing and buying raw ingredients and planning the production.
Our chilled and frozen products are all bespoke. Some ambient, wholesale products are available for direct, off-the-shelf purchase, but without branded labelling.
The turnaround speed depends on the availability of the ingredients and we do have minimum order quantities. We use a variety of cooking vessel sizes and the MOQ is based on the smallest cooking vessel, which outputs around 110kg.

- Our kitchens and production areas are completely nut free.
- We cook in a gentle, traditional way, by hand, to retain colour and flavour.
- We work in the most sustainable way possible by removing the use of all black plastic from our packaging and the jars we use for wholesale are fully recyclable. We support waste reduction by offering variable pouch sizes too, to reduce the use of non-recyclable plastics and we donate any surplus food to local charities.
